Love is facinating and complex. some movies shows us essence of love by physical qualities. how can love stories change your mood. does physical coldness stir the desire to watch love story movies, which are associated with psychological warmth? How can a love story movies affects your own love story.
In addition to that i read an article entitled, "Feeling Chilly? A Romance Movie Might Just Warm You Up" by Vinita Mehta, from the site psychologytoday.com. Stated that, Does love story movies change a psychological temperature. It stated in the article, "It may be that movie distributors have been intuiting a fresh and unusual research finding: feeling physically cold can activate the preference for love stories."
pouring out our hearts in the movie that they can relate on changes your mood. It's funny but they're just humans who get inlove.

Phillip Hodson, a fellow at the British Association for Counseling and Psychotherapy, "We need to live by stories that help us deal with tough realities. Idealism has a role to play " he says. "We all need hope in our lives. And Hollywood trades on hope."
It's funny how people blames love story movies affects their own relationship. It actually your choice if you'll on react on that certain scene, or just let it go. And realize that love stories are just a movie that gives you an option if you're gonna strengthen up your relationship. We don't need them to apply in our lives we just have to observed and get idea from it.
Blogpost 9: "Fantasy"
In films there are different genres that we viewers look forward to and one of this is fantasy. We all know that fantasy movies is the favorite of kids, teenagers, parents, and even grand parents take time to watch fantasy movies. Yes, it is fun to watch and be amazed but sometimes it's not all about sitting and watching other people take what they have seen and apply it in their lives. Would this be a good thing? or should it be just a fantasy in our eyes especially on Children.
According to an article I read on "The Psychological Effects of Children's Movies" from the site winmentalhealth.com. It was stated in the article that watching fantasy movies will create development on Kids, but on the other hand their are evidence that fantasy films significally becomes violent. It change the mold of style thinking for the children. For example the Chucky doll fantasy movie. Most children have seen this movie. It was stated in the article that One second grade girl was having a hard time concentrating on her school work in class. She stated about this movie, "I can't stop think about that movie. Can I write about it?"
Nowadays what usually is trending or in is what we go for. I think the tendecy of this movie will increase because these films are teaching the kids to be afraid of dolls.Guidance is a must nowadays.
In another article I read entitled, "Study suggests watching fantasy movies may help enhance creativity in children" by sue from the site therapytoronto.com. Stated that, parents who feel guilty because they left their child watching television should relax, because there are educational benefits in exposing children to fantasy movies, such as, magical content like witches and wizards, Santa Claus, the Easter bunny and the tooth fairy.
according to the researchers of Department of Psychology at Lancaster University, Dr Eugene Subbotsky, Claire Hysted and Nicola Jones concluded that
“Magical thinking enables children to create fantastic imaginary worlds, and in this way enhances children’s capacity to view the world and act upon it from multiple perspectives."
“Magical thinking enables children to create fantastic imaginary worlds, and in this way enhances children’s capacity to view the world and act upon it from multiple perspectives."
Parents must be strict and responsible to their children so that children nowadays can actually know what right and wrong about the movie, they need to guide their children so that they can live a good life.

Blogspot 8: "Action - all time favorite"
In films there are different genres that we viewers look forward to and one of this is violence. We all know how action is the all time favorite; kids, teenagers, parents, and even grand parents take the time to watch an action film. Yes, it is fun to watch and be amazed but sometimes it's not all about sitting and watching other people take what they have seen and apply it in their lives. Would this be a good thing? or should it be just a fantasy in our eyes?
According to an article I read on "Film and their effect on Society" by Lemiffe on lemiffe.com. It was stated in the article that all our actions are based on what we learn and what we know, and we human beings learn by seeing and imitating. It was stated that "Following this trend of thought we can infer that as we see from movies, we tend to act accordingly, by the means of learning and practicing."
Another article that I've read is entitled "Disadvantaged of Action movies on ramblingofnadawordpress.com by rambling. It was stated on the article on how action movies become a big impact in today's generation, on how much this genre has and can influence people. It also stated that
"Action movies have a negative effect on human psychology. Action movies are so engaging and entertaining that is why these movies become the major cause for the increasing violence in the society."
As viewers and someone who is fond of films we should keep in mind what is right and wrong among the things that we watch. For us to control the negative impact of action and other genres of film we have to increase awareness among the young generation. We should also learn to know the difference between reality and fantasy. What stays in the theater or cinema are stays there, there's nothing wrong in admiring film and their creativity but to do the wrong deeds or negative ones to others is beyond acceptable. Remember the distinguish the difference between art, fantasy and reality.
Blogspot 7: "Bang! Bang!"
I have this friend who is very violent like he`s imagining that he has this opponent and then he fires his hand. It`s very weird but I asked him why is he like that. Most of his actions are violent. He said that mostly of his time he watched violent films. He love those films where there are killers, bloods, and guns. No wonder why is he like that.
I read an article entitled, "Violent movies can increase violent responses in real life" from the site research.vt.edu by Sally Harris. Stated that, The study showed that prolonged exposure to gratuitously violent films is can escalate hostile behavior in both men and women and such behavior in unprovoked research participants. They determined that the effect is not short lived, but remains for some time after the viewing of the films. Their fears are only temporary upon watching violent movies.
The research was trying to determine the effects of films with gratuitous violence on the general population. Sally Harris stated, "These films with gratuitous violence make people less civil, more willing to say things in a meeting or in a classroom that were inappropriate a few years ago." The studies show a callousness of world view. Person A says something bad to Person B and, because Person B has viewed gratuitous violence, he reacts more harshly than he would have reacted otherwise. I think this tendency will increase because these films are teaching people it’s okay to break the rules of civility.
In another article I read entitled, "Movie violence are often paired with risky behaviors" from the site articles.latimes.com by Karen Kaplan. Stated that, Violence isn't the only problem with violent movies aimed at younger people because they also tend to glamorize risky activities that you might not want to encourage among kids.
Amy Bleakley said that, “We know some teenagers imitate what they see on-screen.” Mostly young
people follow what they see on adults cause they thought they`re right. That`s
why guidance is a must nowadays. Parents must be more strict and responsible to their children so that they can live a good life.

Blogpost 6: "Laugh it out"
Just like how the saying goes Laughter is the best medicine. Do you agree? Laughing your heart out is a great feeling especially when you're with your loved ones. When it comes to film, genres such as comedy brings out the happiness in you.
Some even do romantic comedy to put a little twist on love rather than the usual heartbreaks. Being happy and laughing is sometimes the key to true happiness. Even in the simplest ways film has done it's part in giving merriment to the lives of its viewers.
"Bruce All mighty" |
According to an article that I've read entitled "Learn the benefits you get from comedy movies" from saching.com by Deena David. In the article it stated how film such as comedy give benefits to us viewers. When it comes to our health it decreases the stress that we have and it's also good for our heart. She also said that "If the person is depressed, then the person can have a hearty laugh that can help increase their happiness and decrease depression."
If one views a film full of laughter and jokes it can give him or her a remedy Once you're in the sensation of good vibes it feels your heart with positive emotions. This is a good thing as well because you forget your problems for an hour or so. When I'm with my friends there cannot be a day that I won't laugh hard or make jokes with them. Surely, having emotions of happiness is better than acquiring tears and pain.
Another article that I've read entitled "The Science of Comedy: Can humor make the world a better place?" from theguardian.com by Stuart Jeffries In the article it was stated how comedy can have a positive and negative effect on people and same goes for comedians giving out a show to their audience. The author also said that "comedy could be therapeutic or give people skills seems absurdly worthy, but that's what comedians have been trying to do".
Remember, that happiness and laughing gives us the chance to make our life easier. That's why we have people, things, movies to help us and give us entertainment. Don't always dwell on the sad part of life or in movies the downfall where in the antagonist gets to win over everybody else, there's always a good side in every problem that we face. That's why when given the chance grab the remote, call your friend or have your family with you and enjoy a relaxing comedy movie over the coach and surely your day will end up great.
Blogpost 5:"Good Film Nowadays"
In today's generation it is evident how film has raised it's value in the market. Every month there are genres of new movies being shown, sequels of stories and even unseen directors cut. Surely, this has kept us viewers hyped to pay and watch just to keep us entertained but on the latter part we forget to give attention to other works of film. One particular idea that I'm stating is Independent films.
Independent film is known to be a professional film production resulting in a feature film that is mostly produced outside major film studios. One great thing about independent films is that it's distinguishable by the content and style that it has in which the personal artistic vision of the film makers are shown and realized.
According to an article that I've read entitled "More Is More in Independent Film." written by Tim Wu on newyorker.com He stated why we need so many Indie films and Who exactly gets hurt if too many indie movies are made? People doesn't want indie so many indie films, they focus on consumption rather than curation- He also stated that "making lots of films to yield a few hits is not dangerous to
independent film but exactly how independent film sustains itself."
I personally agree with the statement said because other people watch films that are too vague and yet they get payed and what's worst is the one's that are worth watching are the ones neglected. How ironic, isn't it?
Another article that I've read is entitled "Is VOD the Future of Independent Film? Yes -- and No." by Paula Bernstein. In this article it was stated how Netflix Chief Ted Sarandos criticized theater owners for resisting the idea of day- and - date releasing of films and claiming that theaters are going to "kill movies" if they continue to resist multi - platform distribution.
He also stated "I do wish more theaters would be open to supporting day and days of releasing indie films". As an artist and hoping to be in the film industry someday I agree to the idea stated. Why would you be hindrance to showing good film? is it because it will cause you money and you're gambling whether it will hit the market or not? That's sad if you think about it, more people are into what's new that to the idea of what a film and what message it's trying to convey.
Sometimes people neglect the true beauty of art and they don't give other people a chance to put something on the table that they can be proud of. Through that you are already putting the spirit down of aspiring filmmakers and I'm one of them. As I take on the path of being an artist I'll make sure that everything I do will be my best and not settle for anything less. Why would I stay on the path of being mainstream when I know for myself I can make a difference.
Blogpost 4: "Heartbreaking"
Heartbreaking movies makes me so fascinated about being a film director because of the challenge in thinking a great concept that will make the viewers cry. This kind of movie makes me think how hard and easy relationship can be. Though I'm not in a relationship. But still this gave me an idea on how a relationship can go.
In addition to that I read an article entitled, "Why watching a tear-jerking film actually makes you happier" from the site dailymail.co.uk by Ted Thornhill. States that, researchers from the Ohio State University found that watching a tragedy movie caused people to think about their own close relationships, which heightened their own emotions such as happiness. The study involved 361 college students who watched the shortened version of the 2007 movie Atonement, which involves two lovers who are separated and died as war casualties. After the movie, the students rated how much they enjoyed the movie and how the movie had led them to reflect in their lives - their goals and relationships. People who experienced a greater increase in sadness while watching the movie were more likely to write about real people with whom they had close relationships, she said. This in turn, increased the student's life happiness after watching it, which was related to a more enjoyment of the movie. 'People seem to use tragedies as a way to reflect on the important relationships in their own life, to count their blessings,’ she said.Positive emotions are a signal that everything is alright. But negative emotions, like sadness, make you think more critically about your own situation. So watching a tragic movie about star-crossed lovers like Romeo and Juliet may make you sad, but that will cause you to think more about your own close relationships and treasure them even more.
Knobloch Westerwick said, "People seem to use tragedies as a way to reflect on the important relationships in their own life, to count their blessings." People who experienced a greater increase in sadness while watching the movie were more likely to write about real people with whom they had close relationships because they relate their life in the movie. There is greater chance that this kind of movie serves as an outlet to people. By these, they realized and remembered things earlier that made their heart cry.
In addition to that, in the article entitled, "The Surprising Reasons We Like Sad Movies." from the site greatest.com by Katie Koerner, according to Paul Zak, Greatist Expert, Professor, and Director of the Center for Neuroeconomics Studies, sad films make us feel empathy for others through the release of oxytocin. When we empathize with other people, our brain releases oxytocin, which engages brain circuits that causes us to care about others. Exercising empathy makes us able to connect to the real paople around us. says Zak - both right after watching a sad film and later on, by training our oxytocin system.
Jessica Magidson said, “Hey, at least I’m not lying frozen on a board in the ocean while my boyfriend drowns!” We may be drawn to sad and tragic movies because we have the tendency to feel happier after watching them. These good feelings may result from feeling thankful for the situations in our lives or from feeling connected to other people (or both).
Blogpost 3: "Animation"
In Films there are different genre that we viewers look forward to and one of this is Animation movies.Children nowadays enjoy watching movies especially this kind of movie, even Teenagers, Parents, and Grandparents enjoy watching animation movies life, Frozen, Up, Toy story, nemo, monsters university, rise of the guardians, and many more. But does animation movies helps us?
According to an article that I read on "Disney's Positive Effects on Children" from the www.ehow.com. It was stated in the article the Advantages of watching animation movies, it says there that the advantage of watching it is it can influences child's creativity, according to walt disney "animation can explain what the mind of a man conceive."
Nowadays what usually trending is what we go for. Still parents should guide their kids in watching different kinds of animation movies because sometimes there are scenes that is not good for the eyes of the kids.
In addition to that I read an article entitled, " 'Epic' and other animated films become great educators" by emmelie bunchanan-whitlock on deseretnews.com. It was Stated their how animation films a great educators for people. It is an effective way of teaching kids. “When you engage a child in animation, you can convey messages strongly,” Loosli said. “Animation allows kids to drop their guard and go into an imaginary world. The messages come through even more vivid.”
It is good to watch animation films, because it creates a lot of creative thinking and it helps children's development but still guidance is a must. Parents must be strict and responsible to their children so that children can actually know what should copy or should not copy in the movie
Blogpost 2: "Scare me up!"
As I observed, people pay for cinemas just to watch horror movies which will scare them and make them afraid. Why is that? I wondered why people do that. It's kind of unfair isn't it? Because we paid just to get scared. But the horror movies are so great and exciting that's why we love it.
In addition to that I read an article entitled, "A Curious appeal of Horror Movies" from the site ign.com by Lucy O'Brien. Stated that, We want to see things we wouldn't usually see in our daily lives. Curiosity is a powerful emotion because we are human who gets curious more often. There’s a sense of magnet in horror movies that is very seductive, because from a very early age we are taught that watching horror movies, like porn and cigarettes and pinching the underside of your little brother’s arm to make him squeal, is wrong. Part of the appeal of horror comes down to a basic thrill of seeking out that which we’re not meant to see; It’s a feeling that stays well into adulthood, buried deeply, no matter how world-weary one may grow. It does made an individual remember what made him/her scared from a longer time.
Lucy O'Brien said, "Fiction is how we both study and de-fang our monsters. To lock violent fiction away, or to close our eyes to it, is to give our monsters and our fears undeserved power and richer hunting grounds." We humans are kind of insane because we let
horror movies make money. In always seeking that liberation, that dark ride. And we’ll take it any way we can. We love to take thrilling adventures in order to experience new things in like. Like horror movies, this kind of genre makes an individual have of mixed emotions because on how the movie is made. It has drama, sometimes comedy, and thrilling stuff too.
Another article I read entitled, "Why our brains love horror movies" from the site thedailybeast.com by Sharon Begly. Stated that, A 1995 study found that the higher people score on a scale that measures sensation-seeking, the more they like horror films. That may explain why horror movies are most popular with younger audiences. That fades with it comes to age, because especially as people become more sensitive to their own physiology. Middle-aged and older adults tend not to seek out experiences that make their hearts race, because their real life is scary enough. They don’t need to get their scares from movies.
Stuart Fischoff said, "One of the major reasons we go to scary movies is to be scared." We just need to admit that we watch horror just to get scared. It's kinda cliché but that is truth. Also horror varies to teenagers and adults. Teenagers seeks more thrilling adventures than because adults is experiencing problems that they thought that is the thrilling adventure for them. It's okay to watch horror movies you just need to set up limits of imagination in your head.
Blogpost 1: "Romance fever"
Romance chick flicks are so popular to women because they can easily relate to the characters and to the story. They also can teach us something that we can't learn in our lives. But as far as I know, they are so addicting. Besides, they're so heart touching and can easily make you cry.
In addition to that I read an article entitled, "The Value of Romance Movie" from the site psychcentral.com by Lauren Suval. Stated that, Romantic movies inform you about different ideas in finding your love. Like, you may meet the right person even after you’re already in a committed relationship. Death shall not do us a part. He/She will still be a part of you no matter what. Holding on to the memories even they're gone. Learn from the bad memories that you have encountered in your relationship. Lastly, you learn to seize the day by accepting what you can't change by being happy.
Lauren Suval said, "A small part of us uses that fictional element just as an outlet." The romantic movies that we are watching helps us to realized certain things. This makes us a better person because they teaches us alternative solutions in our relationships. On the other hand, this serves as an outlet especially to women because they pour out their hearts in the movie that they can relate on. Yes, it is kind of funny but they're just humans who get hurt.
Another article I read, "The Psychology Behind Love and Romance" from the site source.southuniversity.edu by Darice Britt. Stated that, Love is fascinating and complex. Romantic love, seems to be a beautiful mystery we find hard to explain. Although poets and songwriters can put many of our romantic thoughts and feelings into words, love is so complicated we need the help of science to explain it.
Christopher Orr said that, "The film offers up at least three disturbing lessons about love." As we can observe, some movies shows us the essence of love is by physical qualities. And it is wrong. We tend to look at the outside appearance and not in the inside which is the heart. But it is up to us on how we deal with romantic movies. We don't need them to apply in our lives we just have to observed and get idea from it.
